Phosphoric acid or trihydrogen phosphate (also referred to as orthophosphoric acid) is a weak inorganic acid. In water, it is completely converted into dihydrogen phosphate ions and protons, giving it the properties of a strong acid.
Phosphoric acid is mainly used in the production of fertilizer, in detergents, and in small quantities in soft drinks.
